March Art Show

Get ready for visual splendor. On March 16, 2007 there is group art show of students and graduates from Utah State University. The show, "Once Around The Sun" includes work from various artists who work in styles ranging from abstraction to landscape, conceptual to figurative.
I will have at least two new paintings which will be included in this show.

The location for the show is approximately 365 W Pierpont Ave., Salt Lake City, Utah. The business space occupying the building is called Cisco Thirteen. It is an attorney's office that supports local artist's and art events monthly by means of wall space.

The opening reception will be the evening of the 16th from 6-9 pm. There will be food, live music, and of course, a variety of art to tantalize the retina of anyone who happens to wander in.

Artist Information

The world around me has a huge impact on my work. Growing up in the city, I have been interested in the mundane layering of civilization and culture that takes place as humanity continues to infiltrate a specific region. This layering of society and cultures, especially sub-cultures, drives the depth and layering in my work. The manner in which layers exist in the environment relate directly to the spontaneous nature of the painting itself.
